Android: Comment not closing after -->

Ask by : user221287 November 06, 2012 16:05

In Android, when working with XML, how does one closses the comments?

This is a piece of my code:

<Button
    android:id="@+id/25"
    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
    <!-- Last Button in the Row occupying all the remaining Space -->
    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
    android:layout_below="@id/five"
    android:layout_toRightOf="@id/20"
    android:text="25"
    android:textSize="20dp" />

Apparently, I have closed the comment with --> which is what I have learnt and see in the online resources.

But, Eclipse is not considering it as closed comments, all the text after the comment is also getting counted as comment.

How do I fix this?

Keep your comment outside the Tag.

Something like this:

<!-- Last Button occupying the whole space -->
<Button ... />
